Tabea Kind is a young aspiring German double bassist currently living in Basel, Switzerland. She plays in various formations in Germany and Switzerland and is an integral member of both scenes. In May 2024 she released her first album with fellow musicians Catherine Tang and Lucas Zibulski. The album consists of Tabea’s own compositions and portraits the musical landscape within her.

"In 'Fragments', Tabea'scompositions and bass prowessfuse seamlessly, crafting animmersive sonic experiencethat resonates deeply.“- Larry Grenadier

The eight tracks on the album are more like songs than pieces. Each song is well-rounded in itself and conveys deep emotions in a short way. This makes the album all the more meaningful.

As Antoine Saint-Exupéry said: „It’s perfect not if there is nothing more to add but if there is nothing more to take away.“

With the singles Ostinato and Uninvolved, two songs have been selected that strongly emphasize the improvisational element on the one hand and the song character on the other.

The album represents a comparatively direct access to Tabea’s emotional world and conveys something approachable for the listener.
